mark your territory...with wordswell, coming out of highschool, leaving w.a.y., and going off to university, i have achieved a goal that i had never really set in the first place -- nor had i ever thought about it. i was able to reach out to
one person. it feels good. i'm glad i was able to make an impact on his/her life. its nice to know that just being kind to someone and subsequently getting to know someone better can mean sooo much to an individual.
on friday at w.a.y. (after attending joy) huston made a short little speech about how he hopes ivy and himself have made an impact on our lives. he said that in your life, you will probably meet 10-15 people who will make a lasting impact on your life, who will make you into the person you ultimately become, who will shape you, and who will influence you for the better. im not sure if i can be counted as one of those 10-15 in this person`s life...but i think i will make a new goal for myself. to be one of those 10-15 in at least
one person`s life.
i mean, it sounds kind of rediculous how i'm so happy that i reached out to
one person, whereas people like joeie all over the world practically do this for A LIVING, but doing this really meant stepping out of my comfort zone. i'm the kind of guy who likes to stick around the people he feels close with. and just making that initial step out was difficult. maybe its God preparing me for university.
and well, dear anonymous: you keep thanking me for the things i've done for you, but i would like to take this opportunity to thank YOU for teaching me soo much. thank you for the experience. you were definately encouraging. keep growing, and become the man/woman of Christ you ought to be!
...that was definately a nice conversation. i like when people are genuine with me.
