there is a _____ at the end of the alley...?

well, here we are, at crossroads. i'm not talking about university. i'm talking about making choices. choices about life. choices that could make lasting repercussions, or choices that will fade quickly. either way; choices.

well, the choice has been made. its tough though. there's what feels right, and then theres what is right. there i was, standing in the alley. i could turn around and get back to the streets where it is safe, but mundane. or i could go on, move forward, but fear what lurks in the alley ahead. well, here i am, on the bustling streets again. i know i made the right decision. i wasn't alone. two others were with me the whole time, guiding my choices.

its funny -- in a non funny way of course, how at w.a.y. camp i decided to surrender all to God. that i would just let him in charge of my life. His will, not mine. well, thats what i got. i think i knew all along what i had to do. it was...dare i say...obvious? but well, i guess i was just in denial the whole time. i didn't want to admit it. i didnt want to suggest change. but im glad others had the courage to step up and suggest it. i'm glad someone else out there says things that don't want to be heard. and for that, i thank you. i'm scared. but i know it was the right decision.

it just doesn't feel right, right now.

patience. patience. only time can tell. hmmm, patience? well, operation cwal. operation cwal.

my way seems better. but God's way is better.
i just have to learn to accept that.

on a side note: i went shopping today. spent uber amounts of money, got clothes for dirt cheap and shoes for $17.50! a jacket for $85!...well, dinner awaits.

...bye...cwal.

the verve

moving out for school will definately be bittersweet. leaving things i want to leave behind, yet at the same time, there's just so much here at home i just want to stay for.

it's a bittersweet symphony, this life

hooray!

...you are awesome. thanks for betraying my trust :D

...once again, losing respect.

...humans...*sigh*

on another note, university is just around the corner. i'm scared. im sure i've expressed this fear before, but i guess as it closes up on me, the fear just grows. just far too many things to think about. oooo eng...treat me well please.

lost respect

respect is a lot like trust. trust takes a lifetime to gain, and an instant to lose. likewise, respect for someone takes a long time (relatively) to build up, however, one slip, and its all lost. well, i'm beginning to lose respect. i think its best if i dont hear your beautiful stories. ignorance is bliss.

frosh connexion: now i feel sooo confident about starting school...NOT!!! thanx guys! your stories were encouraging. your experiences were touching. thank you. (or not).
wow. that sucked to the maxors.

stop making fun of me.

its definately a sign. i have received NUMEROUS suggestions to cut my hair. even the daycamp kids make fun of me. they say things like "why WON'T you cut your hair?" and
"you look like a girl" and "you're ugly" and "your hair is so long". parents as well, have told me to cut my hair ie. ernest's dad and sarah kee's mom. yea...its embarrasing. but i like my hair!

ANYWAYS enough about my hair. i beat jeremy at 21 today. that was nice. and then there were other "unimportant" details of my day. nothing big. nothing i'll remember past tonight :P

but yea, enough about my day. thought time. fellowship tonight was about the da vinci code and misconceptions about it. one thing that really stuck with me was how he (tony costa...the man with two first names) mentioned how the gospels of the Bible were chosen. i guess i was one of those "ignorant" Christians who didn't know a whole lot about his own faith, but it wasn't even until last summer that i even found out there were other so-called gospels out there. and ever since, i've wondered how these gospels were chosen over the other ones. it doesnt sound like a big deal, but put it this way. the credibility of the new testament and subsequently the Christian faith itself lies in HOW these books were chosen. there were numerous other books out there, and only a select few are considered divine and truthful. and thus, if they were chosen hap hazzardly, well then, there goes credibility.
so what tony said was that the books were chosen with the following criteria: they had to be either written by apostles of disciples of apostles, and they had to be written within one hundred years of Jesus' time on earth, where the eyewitnesses were still around. that all makes sense and just adds soo much more credibility to these books over the other so called gospels. basically, for the first criteria, that ensures that all of the accounts were first/second hand accounts, and ensures accuracy. and as for the second, that jsut means that if any of it were not accurate, then someone (if not MANY) would surely have refuted those texts.

i think thats it... yea, it was better when he said it.

in other news. frosh connexion tomorrow! im so excited!

genuinely good

well, today i had a double header, which i played on 4 hours of sleep. big mistake. so yea, my body was up for it, and i was able to run and exert myself fully without throwing up (...unlike the last time i engaged in physical activity while on a deficit of sleep). so that was good. but yea...my mind was wandering through both games. i was so lost the whole time. i messed up numerous times, both while fielding and while batting. i even slipped on the gravel on my way from the DUGOUT to the PLATE...that was so embarrasing. and the ump (i think it was anthony at the time) said something like "i know you're eager to play and all, but calm yourself"...yea that made me feel super stupid. o and another stupid moment...haha, on TWO seperate occasions, i found myself stuck at second base...accompanied by someone else (how embarrasing) so yea. the first time, i was there with someone else, i ran, but to no avail. the second time, we saw each other, and i darted to third and he jetted off to first where he came from and we were both safe. that was hilarious. there were numourous more slip ups and mishaps...but lets not get into those. on the bright side tho, during our practice times, i managed to catch the ball a few times between the legs WITHOUT any close calls...unlike the last time...yea that was definately too close for comfort. long story short, josh hit a hard and fast grounder...i put the glove behind me and between my legs. at the last second, the ball hit something and bounced up...and well...you can guess what happened...upper inner thigh...

but softball aside, today was genuinely good. i haven't had a day like this in quite a while, and my recent posts show it. so yea, things went well today. better than i could have imagined. and for that, i am grateful.

i need more of these days.
its nice to patch things up, to fix the broken, and to mend open wounds.

i can rest easy tonight.

goodnight everyone. i'm off.

...when things go awry...

well, i heard a song by simple plan, i dont even know what its called (its called untitled, but theres an alternate name...but i dont know that name) but it sums up my current situation. and i would just like to mention that i hate simple plan. they're just a bunch of wannabes. for the record, ive only heard this song like all of ONCE so yea...dont give me crap for listening to them, becuase i dont...im still hardcore! (hardcore till the day i die - pennywise)...or not...anyways...

back to the serious part.
the song.

How could this happen to me
I made my mistakes
I've got no where to run
The night goes on
As I'm fading away
I'm sick of this life
I just wanna scream
How could this happen to me
Everybody's screaming
I try to make a sound but no one hears me
I'm slipping off the edgeI'm hanging by a thread
I wanna start this over again
So I try to hold onto a time when nothing mattered
And I can't explain what happened
And I can't erase the things that I've done
No I can't

im glad im going off for a week with the family...i need time to think, time alone...just...well...time to rethink me.
