finally
after months and months of listening to my mother's "gentle nagging" i have finally bought a laptop.

actually, i know that its shared, so the 512MB is, in actuality, 384MB of RAM. but the 512 is comprised of two 256MB cards, meaning i can upgrade to two 512MB sticks. which would bring my total to 1024MB, which if you factor into that the video, you get 896MB. i'll probably end up doing that later on. perhaps second year?

dont know much about laptops
but i like bestbuy.
their return stuff and guarentee stuff may seem stupid (like you have to mail it in if its past a certain whatever) but if you can get past the difficulty of returning it to get fixed or replaced or WHATEVER, then best buy has a pretty good system. you dont get cash back, but a gift card which isnt a bad deal.

it looks good. but man larger SDRAM makes computer-using experience so much more enjoyable. and i never used a comp/labtop with that processor. but it looks good.

Mmmm very nice... I think it's a nice find. 14" = big = cool! I don't think you play (big file) games so you don't need that powerful of a machine.
But you should talk to my dad though! Jess and Jon and Trevor and a whole lot of other people talk to my dad about getting laptops!
