the great divide.
often, we look at the church as the ultimate symbol and epitome of faith. sometimes, this is just not the case. our church is not perfect, and im pretty sure no church out there is perfect. and why is that? if it is the house of God, should it not be perfect and flawless? yes, it is a house of God, however, it is a house of God run by humans - imperfect, flawed,...and well, stupid humans. too often we see problems with the church, the leadership, the way things are run, the things people do, and we turn away from the faith altogether. you have a problem with the church? thats fine and dandy. but keep in mind that when you have a problem with the church, it is a problem with the people. feel like leaving that particular church? fine. feel like leaving
the church?...think again.
you may look up to others in the church and they may fail you, they may make mistakes and let you down. don't give up hope, everyone makes mistakes. don't stereotype a faith by those who are the strongest, because even the strongest fall. dont give up becuase someone else did something stupid. don't live your lives by others and their actions...live your life by God, by your faith, by the one true word.
as for the recent turn of events. people make mistakes. that's the bottom line. you live, you learn. you may have your own views, and i may have mine. but let's just put that behind us and be drawn together by the one bigger thing we share.
