50/50
Whenever the theoretical and mathematical probability of a certain outcome is a non-zero value, then the effective probability of that outcome is then 50/50.As long as something is
possible then no matter what the predicted odds are, it will always turn out to be a matter of
that outcome, or
not that outcome. It does not matter how stacked the odds are against that outcome, it will be 50/50 because it has a possibility of occuring.
Ex. If you are going into an operation and the doctor says that there is a one in twenty thousand chance that you will die in the operating room, the
effective probability of you dying is 50/50. The calculated theoretical probability, one in twenty thousand, takes into account many factors, including past statistics, but what matters is not how many go into the operation and make it out just fine, what matters is
you. Although the chance is only one in twenty thousand, it is no more likely to be person A, or you. It is more likely to be someone else in a crowd of twenty thousand, however, each one, each
individual is no more likely to be that unlucky
one. Since the chances are all equal for all of the patients, then the probability of a certain person dying in the operating room is 50/50.
Whenever there is a potential outcome that is
not impossible, then it is bound to happen at least once. It may not be soon, or very often, but the point is, since it is
possible, it
will eventually happen.
Either it is the predicted outcome, or it is not. Theoretical probability is thus, useless.
