I've got to speak up.
Well, here goes the story of tech design and two students- Simon, and this "other guy". So, this "other guy" decides to take gr 12 tech design. However, there is one small problem. Gr12 tech design has gr 11 tech design as a prerequisite. This "other guy" does not have the prerequisite, and thus, should not be in the gr 12 class. So Simon was quite shocked when he saw "other guy" in his class when school started. However, that did not bother him- until now.
Our school, being tigh on budget, does not have enough computers, nor does it have enough copies of AutoCAD. Solution: pair up the students. Most students kept their partners from last year, but since Simon's partner from last year decided not to take the course this year, he found himself partnerless. So the teacher assigns him a partner- the "other guy". O CRAP! What does this mean for Simon? Well, now he will not only have to do ALL the work in the group, he will also be teaching a new student.
Enough with the third person. Switcheroo. First person.
This is pissing me off. This is grade 12. This is no mickey mouse game. This is the real deal. I cannot afford to compromise my marks for this guy. He shouldn't even be in the class in the first place. Too bad if he wants a gr 12 credit in tech design. If he didn't take it in gr 10, and did not take it in gr 11, then he chose to close a door on himself. Likewise, I cannot just walk into a gr 12 accounting class and ask for a gr 12 credit. If I didnt take any business courses and didn't take gr 11 accounting, I have willingly chosen to close off that door for myself. Thus, it is his own fault that he didn't take the required courses. Sympathy for him is no reason to accept him for a course he is not ready for. And if it IS a reason, then the teacher should take full responsibility of that kid and teach him. Don't just dump him on another student and make him a burden to the other hardworking student. WHAT THE CRAP?!?! (insert profanity here) asldfih oawuienvacvui nzs;divn xc in
dilemma:
I can suck it up and try to teach him this year.
Or I can talk to the teacher and try to work something out.
The latter I clearly the better solution; provided that something can be worked out. If not, then the teacher hates me for complaining and then I'm screwed for the year.
dammit. this sucks. crap. i hate this. atwo[ xcvawsdj;vzc o;ae lridzp'iawrugjsfzpbixv j
